On a day full of snow storms and block watch meetings, I did manage to watch the news coverage of the New Hampshire Primary and it was interesting to say the least. Ohio Governor John Kasich is now second behind Donald Trump for the Republicans while, and this is a great surprise for me (though for the news guys less so) that Bernie Sanders would beat Hillary Clinton so decidedly in this race. Of course, she beat Barak Obama in the same primary in 2008 but still this shows that the man from Vermont has a broader appeal than people would expect.
Of course with Trump and Sanders in the lead in their respective parties, it just reflects the growing polarization of the body politic over the past 50 years. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out in the upcoming months.
